11:55:54 <peter1138> That framerate seems a bit low...
11:56:25 <peter1138> And it's somewhat glitchy.
11:57:52 *** ChanServ sets mode: +o orudge
11:58:30 <peter1138> Eddi|zuHause, is it like that on your computer or is it just the stream is bad?
11:58:49 <Eddi|zuHause> it is that bad on my computer
11:59:07 <peter1138> That is sad. Stick to OpenTTD :P
11:59:34 <Eddi|zuHause> yeah, i'm definitely ordering a new computer in the next days
12:39:16 <Eddi|zuHause> bridge construction seems to have become worse
13:16:17 <Eddi|zuHause> on the plus side, game uses only like 40% CPU (of one core)
13:16:38 <Eddi|zuHause> not sure that's helping anyone
13:37:14 <Eddi|zuHause> i think i'm done with this experiment :p

16:04:58 <nielsm> oh no, my games SSD is running out of space, need to uninstall train simulator to get space for transport fever 2
16:05:23 <Eddi|zuHause> nielsm: hope it doesn't look for you like it looked for me
16:06:11 *** WormnestAndroid has quit IRC
16:08:10 <peter1138> nielsm, just get another SSD.
16:09:31 <nielsm> I ought to do a major system upgrade some time soon :)
16:09:31 <peter1138> £28.79. Not buying.
16:10:35 <Eddi|zuHause> btw, i played around a bit without stream, and noticed that if i set terrain to high details, the glitches are less pronounced
16:10:56 <Eddi|zuHause> and it's only the terrain that glitches, all other things are fine
16:18:39 <nielsm> could be a miscompiled shader? i.e. something with your gpu driver
16:26:45 *** WormnestAndroid has joined #openttd
16:29:43 <Eddi|zuHause> <peter1138> £28.79. Not buying. <-- what price is that? the game?
16:36:04 <Eddi|zuHause> i give the game another go in the evening
16:43:42 <nielsm> except I can't find the option to invert rotation direction
16:44:49 <Eddi|zuHause> i was looking for that as well
16:44:54 <Eddi|zuHause> for mouse scrolling
17:06:34 *** WormnestAndroid has quit IRC
17:09:16 <nielsm> okay the options to invert the movement are only available from the main menu, not in the during-gameplay menu
17:18:08 <nielsm> inverted panning with rmb is terrible, the movement speed of the terrain does not match the cursor movement, and if you move the mouse outside the window while dragging, movement stops
17:27:05 <peter1138> 15:43 < nielsm> except I can't find the option to invert rotation direction
17:27:50 <peter1138> Maybe someone renamed it :D
17:32:44 *** supermop_work has joined #openttd
17:37:07 <Eddi|zuHause> yeah, have no clue why anyone would invent that, let alone set it as default
17:40:20 <lugo> Hi, ever since i changed my windows account name and hence the users folder name, i got problems with newgrf recognition in jgrpp; when starting a new game and go to the newgrf settings it tells me it can't find the file; funny enough using openttd-trunk i get no such message..
17:40:52 <lugo> is there possibly a hard coded path for newgfrs in jgrpp?
17:41:59 <Eddi|zuHause> lugo: are you using a desktop link to start it? check the working directory of that link
17:45:35 <lugo> Eddi|zuHause: nope starting from within the installation folder
17:47:52 <Eddi|zuHause> lugo: try running "openttd -d misc=3" and check which locations it uses?
17:49:25 <lugo> when clicking rescan files, it recognises the files and boxes left from the newgrfs turn from red to blue, but when closing and reopening newgrf settings they are red again
17:49:30 <lugo> Eddi|zuHause: i'll try that
17:50:21 <Eddi|zuHause> lugo: most likely a problem with your .cfg file location (e.g. file/directory not writable)
17:54:09 <lugo> well i ran .\openttd.exe -d misc=3 in powershell, where can i check which location it´s using?
17:55:48 <lugo> also the newgrf file scan when starting up the game seems to get skipped after the first file
17:56:40 <lugo> again, only when using jgrpp, everything is fine with trunk
17:57:35 <lugo> both using the same openttd.cfg located in my users folder
17:57:48 <Eddi|zuHause> lugo: it should be one of the first output lines
18:08:53 <Eddi|zuHause> dbg: [grf] [OPENTTD.GRF:2775] LoadNewGRFFile: Unexpected sprite, disabling <-- that should not happen
18:09:21 <Eddi|zuHause> you mixed two installations together or somthing
18:15:15 <lugo> i can't really rule that out yes
18:15:27 <lugo> i´ll try with a clean install
18:16:51 *** WormnestAndroid has joined #openttd
18:29:59 *** HerzogDeXtEr has joined #openttd
18:41:54 <lugo> ok, using a new installation and not using the openttd.cfg from the users folder, i still get that unexpected sprite warning
18:53:17 *** Progman has joined #openttd
18:57:55 <lugo> apparently jgrpp doesn't use openttd.grf? so i might have mistakenly copied it to the basesets folder; deleting it didn't change anything besides the warning not being displayd
18:58:28 <lugo> *to the basesets folder of the grpp installation
19:02:11 <lugo> it still failes to find files which where scanned seconds earlier
19:07:25 <lugo> same story when downloading _new_ files from bananas, it does a rescan recognizing the newly downloaded file, but when adding to a clean preset list and closing the windows i get a debug message of the newly downloaded file not being found
19:21:58 <lugo> hard problem to describe for a bug report; i have no idea how this could be reproduced

19:37:57 <andythenorth> my internet connection is down
19:38:01 <andythenorth> this is troubling
20:47:24 <Wolf01> Wtf, transport fever 2 has been released today and the workshop is already filled with mods
20:50:44 <nielsm> lots of people have had it for testing/review
20:50:55 <nielsm> and also there's probably stuff ported from TF1
20:59:40 <Arveen> hmm, is TF2 worth taking a look ? i'm basically just interested in building OTTD-like train network madness
21:03:13 <Eddi|zuHause> Wolf01: the modders had some fun with the press-prerelease, i guess
21:04:01 <Wolf01> The night one looks interesting, too bad you can't see anything...
21:06:11 <nielsm> I haven't looked at the modding in TF2 at all yet, is it still as limited as in the earlier games?
21:06:18 <nielsm> where it was pretty much only static data
21:06:50 <nielsm> no ways to change the base behaviour
21:07:03 <Eddi|zuHause> it uses lua, but i think it's still only run at initialisation
21:10:01 <nielsm> that's rather low framerate...
21:12:17 <Eddi|zuHause> it's also glitchy, like i said
21:13:07 <Wolf01> Just a bit, one won't even notice
21:14:29 <Eddi|zuHause> it's only the terrain, once everything is plastered with infrastructure, it should be gone :p
21:21:19 <Eddi|zuHause> it's slightly annoying that you can't loan money without cancelling the construction
22:17:25 <Eddi|zuHause> waiting for money is mildly annoying
