00:29:10 <peter1138> It's given up counting, and just showing "9+"...
00:57:43 <wensimehrp> Maybe I should start a new discussion in openttd/teams?
01:56:48 <wensimehrp> this dude got themselves into a loop
02:58:23 <wensimehrp> This is getting weirder and weirder
02:58:38 <wensimehrp> This guy also changed the translation of PBS

12:25:13 <johnfranklin> such short platform penalty
13:06:19 <peter1138> I don't... need... a new synthesizer... do I?
13:12:39 <xarick> woah, the vtuber community is insuferable
13:31:17 <andythenorth> peter1138: I can’t think of a single reason why not
13:45:22 <kuhnovic> Gear acquisition syndrome. All too familiar with that.
13:50:16 <peter1138> Space. GAS. How-to-explain-it-to-the-partner...
13:50:45 <peter1138> Along with... I can do everything it does in the noise department with software.
13:51:01 <peter1138> (Sometimes these things ARE just software.)
13:51:19 <kuhnovic> "But analog sounds sooooo much better"
13:51:30 <peter1138> Someone opened up a Sequential Prophet X and found it's a PC inside. "Surprise".
13:51:45 <peter1138> But in this case this one is analogue.
13:52:55 <peter1138> Well, the noise producing parts. It's mostly all software controlled these days. Tuning is no longer a problem.
13:53:36 <kuhnovic> Not sure how the synth community is, but guitar players are ridiculously conservative when it comes to gear. In the early days of electric guitars people / companies used whatever wood, copper wire and magnets they could find. Now that's considered "vintage correct" and is the holy grail of guitar sound.
13:57:33 <peter1138> Where's Belugas when I need him 😮

14:03:21 <johnfranklin> Beluga? A300-600ST?

18:58:05 *** Wormnest has joined #openttd
19:45:31 <andythenorth> "reimplementing OpenTTD in 3D" won't ever be the thing, when an algorithm can just hallucinate the same thing
19:46:42 <peter1138> It's okay though, Locomotion is already 3D.
20:31:38 *** gelignite has quit IRC (Quit: Stay safe!)
20:44:07 <peter1138> Hmm, and I see the original issue that prompted all this was a NewGRF trying to use the text stack within a static string.
20:45:19 <peter1138> Maybe I can drop all this can just catch that :p
20:50:53 *** aperezdc has joined #openttd
20:59:30 <peter1138> Hmm, not sure how to get the StringID, or more importantly the NewGRF that emitted the string, from this deep...
21:12:59 *** kuka_lie has quit IRC (Quit: Lost terminal)
21:13:46 <peter1138> Ok, what've I broken.
